sipXecs 3.8 beta Debian packages

I have uploaded my sipXecs 3.8 beta Debian packages. More information is available from our Open Source projects site at open.calivia.com/projects/debian.

The binary and source package repository is at scm.calivia.com/pub/sipx/debian/dists/etch/. Instructions on how to add the repository, including the PGP key used to sign the packages, are also available from the site above.

There is currently no Wiki page to describe the installation process for 3.8 on Debian. Issuing apt-get install sipxecs on a reasonably well configured Etch system (networking, DNS, etc) should get you far enough, however.

To enable TFTP and/or FTP provisioning of phones and gateways, you'll also need sipxconfig-tftpd-hpa (or sipxconfig-atftpd) and/or sipxconfig-vsftpd. Installing any of these packages will pull in the required server dependency and replace the default configuration with one that is suitable for use with sipXecs. No changes to TFT or FTP configuration should be necessary to work with sipXecs with the packages provided here.
